Privacy Policy

AI Ready — Web Context for AI is a local-first Chrome extension that helps users capture selected webpage content, organize it in a side-panel workspace, and send a prepared brief to an AI service chosen by the user.

Data AI Ready handles

AI Ready may handle the following data only when needed to provide its user-facing features:

• Website content and page metadata that the user chooses to capture
• Selected text, notes, prompts, and additional instructions created by the user
• Source URLs and page titles connected to captured content
• Local preferences, workspace state, prompt settings, and local usage counters
• Clipboard text needed when the user starts a copy or transfer action

AI Ready does not collect passwords, authentication cookies, payment information, or form login credentials.

How data is used

Captured content is processed in the browser to reduce page noise, convert text formatting, organize workspace cards, estimate tokens, and prepare an AI-readable brief. AI Ready does not use captured content for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.

Local storage and retention

Workspace cards, notes, preferences, recent instructions, and last-run recovery data may be stored in chrome.storage.local on the user's device. Users can remove workspace data with AI Ready's clear and delete controls. Removing the extension also removes its local extension storage according to Chrome's behavior.

Transfer to third-party AI services

AI Ready does not send captured content to the developer or to a developer-operated server.

When the user explicitly selects Launch AI, AI Ready opens the selected ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or Perplexity website and inserts the prepared brief into that service's input field. If Auto Enter is enabled, AI Ready also submits the brief. The selected service then processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy.

AI Ready may write the prepared brief to the local clipboard as part of a user-requested copy or AI launch action. It does not continuously monitor clipboard contents in the background.

Network access

Core webpage parsing is performed locally in the browser. To extract supported public content such as YouTube transcripts, AI Ready may request content directly from the original website when the user starts that extraction. These requests do not pass through a developer-operated server.

Chrome permissions

• activeTab and scripting: access and process the page chosen by the user for capture
• <all_urls>: support user-requested capture across websites and disclosed web-clipping functionality
• storage: store workspace content and preferences locally
• clipboardRead and clipboardWrite: support user-triggered capture, copy, and AI transfer actions
• sidePanel: display the AI Ready workspace

Data sharing and sale

AI Ready does not sell user data. It does not share captured content with the developer, advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. A prepared brief is provided only to an AI service explicitly selected by the user as part of the extension's disclosed purpose.

Security

AI Ready does not operate a backend server that receives captured content. User-initiated transfers take place through the selected AI service's HTTPS website. Users should not capture or transfer information they do not want the selected service to process.

Children's privacy

AI Ready is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13.

Policy changes

Material changes to data handling will be disclosed through an updated policy and, where required, an in-product notice before the changed handling takes effect.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

AI Ready's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data accessed through extension permissions is used only to provide or improve AI Ready's disclosed user-facing features.
